Pomellato made its debut in 1967 introducing the concept of ready-to-wear jewellery. The company was characterised in the 90s by the use of “colour stones”.
F.G. Fecarotta Gioielli stands out for its expertise in the evaluation and choice of antique jewellery, found in Europe and the world. Today it is a solid point of reference in the sale of fine and vintage antique jewellery.
Some curiosities about Pomellato
Like many brands, Pomellato has been a forerunner in the choice of communication by entrusting its ADV campaigns to innovative photographers.
The 1960s campaigns were entrusted to Franco Scheichenbauer. The collaboration with the master of black and white photography, Gian Paolo Barbieri, dates back to 1971. For the campaigns from 1982 to 1984 Pomellato relies on the photographer Helmut Newton. From 1988 to 1989 he returned Gian Paolo Barbieri, author not only of classic advertising campaigns but also of broader projects such as the book “Le mappe del desiderio”, 1989, and the more recent “Innatural” of 2004 in which the jewels are photographed immersed in tropical atmospheres. The 1990s saw a succession of photographers Alistair Taylor Young, Lord Snowdon and Javier Vallhonrat. In 2001 Pomellato abandoned black and white photography and chose colour through Michel Comte’s signature. After Paolo Roversi, author of the 2010 campaign, 2011 saw the return of Javier Vallhonrat, who portrayed Pomellato’s testimonial Tilda Swinton in the brand’s campaign. Since February 2015 Salma Hayek has been the testimonial of the signature.
